[Personality]
The first thing most people will notice about Alex, is that he's loud, energetic, and very emotional. He will burst into tears of happiness or sadness at the drop of a hat, give overflowing praise for courageous or moving acts performed by others, and enthusiastically hug people when he thinks they need comforting. (Unfortunately, people don't usually appreciate these hugs, as Alex tends to end up squishing people with his powerful muscles in the process).
Alex is also very proud of his heritage, his physique, and his body. And he's not shy about displaying his body either - he will frequently remove his shirt (often leaving others to wonder when he took it off), to display his impressive muscles to all. As he takes great joy in his muscular body, he believes that others will also take great joy in viewing them. Alas, this isn't always the case.
But even though Alex often appears comical, he can be very serious. He sees it as his duty to use his strength to protect others, and he is utterly serious about carrying out that duty. He will always look out for hie subordinates, his friends, and even innocent bystanders who he knows nothing about, but who he believes he must protect.
He dislikes violence immensely, and he will always attempt to resolve things peacefully. If others are killed needlessly, Alex will get emotionally distressed about this, particularly if he things he could have done something to prevent it. In the past, he has struggled with his desire to avoid violence and the violent nature of the military, when he had a break-down during the Ishbal war. However, Alex is deeply ashamed of the fact that he ran from conflict before - because he believes that what he should have done is not run, but stay and use his strength to right what was wrong. He has resolved that in the future, he will not run.
